Not only is the ambiance totally relaxing and brings your never endings down about 5 octaves but this is a truly talented professional and initially cut hair in New York at Vidal Sassoon.

I have not known Angelo Aveni that long; however, I feel as if I've known him forever. I have the worst hair possible to cut. The worst.

First of all, it is light colored; a mixture of white blonde and then a platinum type overlay with some darker ash blonde to it. Cutting it can be a nightmare because with light hair and cutting mistakes you see every wrong hair which was cut. No so when Angelo cuts hair. He is truly an artist and takes into consideration texture and your life style when determining if the cut 'you' want is the correct cut for your life style and most importantly texture. I happen to have exceedingly straight, fine hair but alot of it. My hair cut is short and very sharply angled. Angelo also highlights my hair in the winter months when blondes can tend to sometimes cast gray or too dirty blonde
and the color Angelo applies puts the sparkle a sheen right back in my hair which lasts for months. I received many compliments on my hair after Angelo has completed his magic.

This man knows precisely what he is doing and is an artist first and foremost and truly professional and a gentleman. An hour or so with Angelo is akin to a full day at a spa for alot less money!

I would refer to my hair type as challenging. It's thick, wavy, frizzy and has cowlicks which all contribute to making it very difficult to manage. Until I met Angelo, I can honestly say that I had never been happy with my hair.

I now travel two hours every three to four weeks so that Angelo can color (highlight) and cut my hair. Unlike other hair stylists, I am the only one in the salon, thereby receiving his utmost attention. Most of us look great when we have our hair professionaly done. However, maintaining that look on our own doesn't quite happen. I’ve been one of Angelo’s customers since he first opened his salon about 27 years ago. I first met him at the mall while attending CCCC in 1978. Have you ever had a “Bad Hair” day? Have you ever longed to place a brown paper bag over your head before facing the world? If you have, (and who among us hasn’t experienced these feelings?), I have a solution for you. Make an appointment with Angelo.

Would you like to hear a sad story with a happy ending? Fifteen years ago, I used to color my own hair to cover a few gray spots. On this particular occasion, I made the mistake of using a permanent product which transformed my dark brown hair to a blue black shade. This color looked great on Elvis but was much too harsh for my skin tone. So I called a well known salon in Hyannis to repair the damage. These folks stripped my hair, colored it the shade of mud, and agreed to my request for a perm. Needless to say, my hair was so fried that it actually began to break off. Picture clumps of muddy brown hair in the tub. NOT a pretty sight.

Then I found Angelo. Angelo is THE guru of hair. He fixed my color, concocting a portion that duplicated the subtle auburn highlights of my natural hue. When I asked about perms he said “No Bella…. I will cut your hair in layers and it will curl all by itself.”

Of course Angelo was right. I love my hair still….15 years later. If I feel like I need a change in style, I simply ask Angelo. He tells me whether or not what I have in mind will work with my type of hair. If not, he suggests something even better.

I have never looked back. For the past 15 years, I have been pampered by Angelo about every 5 weeks. I always leave believing that I’ve spent a week in a spa. Everything is beautiful. My hair is “wash and wear”, a style that works well with my world. Angelo makes sure that my hair is healthy and well conditioned. I adore his head massages. I enjoy the lovely music, beautiful birds in Angelo’s garden, and the koi in his pond with the waterfalls.
Last but certainly not least, I must say that Angelo is the kindest person you could ever imagine meeting. I often tell him that he would be a gifted psychologist. Many are the visits when I confide in him about my own troubles. I always feel better for having done so. I like to tease Angelo by recommending that he hang out his shingle for both hairdressing and head shrinking! Many people ask me who does my hair. I always send them to Angelo. I hope you will have a visit too. You’ll be so glad you did!
